  9.           ppmtopcx - convert a portable pixmap into a PCX file

  11.      SYNOPSIS
  12.           ppmtopcx [-24bit] [-packed] [ppmfile]
  13.  
  14.      DESCRIPTION
  15.           Reads a portable pixmap as input.  Produces a PCX file as
  16.           output.  The type of the PCX file depends on the number of
  17.           colors in the pixmap:
  18.  
  19.           16 colors or less:
  20.                1 bit/pixel, 1-4 planes.
  21.  
  22.           256 colors or less:
  23.                8 bits/pixel, 1 plane, colormap at the end of the file.
  24.  
  25.           More than 256 colors:
  26.                24bit truecolor file (8 bits/pixel, 3 planes).
  27.  
  28.      OPTIONS
  29.           -24bit
  30.                Produce a 24bit truecolor file, even if the pixmap has
  31.                256 colors or less.
  32.  
  33.           -packed
  34.                Use "packed pixel" format for files with 16 colors or
  35.                less: 1, 2, or 4 bits/pixel, 1 plane.
